Season 1: Episode 1: Moving Day

As the limo pulled up to the new house Bosco was very excited to be free and off the leash for the first time in a new province. He had just spent a few hours on cargo on an airplane as he moved from Toronto, Ontario with his owner. Bosco did not even have time to think about the life he had left behind, his friends and even some of his favorite toys and furniture.

The limo door swung open and out bounded the big, chocolate oaf of a dog as he sees a familiar face waiting on the porch. It was Katie, his new house mate (and girlfriend of owner Michael). With the excitement of a prisoner breaking out of jail, Bosco ran up the stairs and started smelling everything he could on the porch include our new landlord who was there to hand over keys. So this is what Nova Scotia smells like I am sure he though to himself.

Once inside Bosco must of been in shock at how much room there was compared to his old place, many new rooms to see and wow there are other levels of this place! Bosco likes a lot of space and with his large, lab size he kind of needs it.

As Michael and Katie took care of business with the landlord, Bosco continued to explore and pick out all the places that were his for sleeping and lounging and storing all his toys. Where he would enjoy his dinner and where he would go to look out the window at the outside world. Everything was better than he could of imagined sitting in the dark cargo hold of the big scary airplane. Maybe life is always greener on the other side, maybe Halifax would be the best thing for Bosco and High Park would become a distant memory.

As Bosco walked into another empty room as happy as can be he then heard a noise that quickly brought him back to earth. The hissing noise of an angry beast. The noise of anger, the noise that made Bosco back up in wonder. It was in fact Bosco's other house mate he had not been told about. Sitting in the window was this cat, this hissing, angry cat. It was Mercy, Katie's black kitty with the displeasure for dogs that you would expect from a feline.

Bosco sat wondering what to do, should he go closer and risk getting attacked or leave the hissing kitty alone. Labs being labs of course Bosco went in to investigate and the hissing changed to loud moaning and then the claws came out. Bosco starting barking (which he never does) and it was finally broken up when the people of the house came up to see what was going on.

Bosco and Mercy have met, they now know they have to share the big house whether they like it or not. Will they become mortal enemies or good friends who sleep on the couch together??

I guess you will have to come back and read the next episode of Desperate House Pets.
